A cooperation between Between Feathers Ensemble (Vienna) and the composers association Die Andere Saite
We are delighted to present a unique and captivating musical collaboration between the ECHOS Project Ensemble - an ensemble for Eastern-oriented music from Graz - and Between Feathers - a contemporary music ensemble from Vienna. The two ensembles will perform new works composed especially for this project by the renowned composers of the Graz-based composers' collective Die Andere Saite. This project aims to bridge the gap between different musical genres and cultures. It promises to be an innovative and culturally enriching experience that will captivate audiences and broaden their musical horizons. Each of the compositions must incorporate instruments from both the ECHOS Project Ensemble and Between Feathers. This unusual instrumentation brings the exotic timbre and elements of oriental music into western contemporary music, creating an extraordinary fusion of sounds and styles. The composers will discover new possibilities of traditional instruments, apply contemporary approaches and explore extended techniques. The result will be a celebration of artistic diversity, cultural exchange and creative innovation.
