ECHOS Project Ensemble

The musicians of the ECHOS Project Ensemble have been playing on various occasions since 2017, and since the beginning of 2021, the ensemble has had its own form, currently working intensively on building a repertoire of Eastern classical music and folk music. A number of traditional and classical melodies from different regions such as Greece, Turkey, Afghanistan, Iran, etc. have been selected, then rearranged by the ensemble and played on traditional musical instruments such as oud, saz, santur, etc. ECHOS is currently the only professional ensemble in Styria that specializes in Eastern music. In addition to continuing and reviving the tradition, the musicians of the Echos Project Ensemble are also open and enthusiastic about expanding their sonic territory to include contemporary music. The ensemble's concerts have been performed as part of festivals/concert series such as EnjoyFest, Brückenbauen, NOW! Oper der Gegenwart, Sound in the City, etc.
